Gastropods are one of the most important Benthos in the aquatic ecosystems and have major role in food chain. The gastropod samples were collected from 4 stations of Daier, Deylam, Bushehr and Kangan ports in the north-west of the Persian Gulf with three replicates in spring and summer. Sampling was carried out by using quadrate and then gastropods were identified. For assessing the species diversity and to determine the dominant species of gastropods, the Shannon and Simpson indices were estimated. In this study, 14 species belong to 12 genera were identified. The results indicated that the highest Shannon index was found in spring in Daier port with H=1.557 and the lowest value was in spring in Kangan port with H=0.615. The highest and the lowest Sympson index was estimated in summer in Kangan station with λ=0.621 and in spring in Daier station with λ=0.264, respectively. Also the highest and the lowest species diversity of gastropods were in Bushehr and Kagan stations, respectively. Results showed, in summer, by increasing temperature, the abundance of gastropods was decreased. Also it is noteworthy to mention that the Turritella fultoni species was found in all stations.
