Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
The Journal of Animal Environment is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, ensuring that all articles published are a result of genuine and ethical scientific research. The journal follows the guidelines and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and adheres to the principles of honesty, transparency, and integrity.
Authorship and Contributions: Authorship should accurately reflect the individuals who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All authors must agree to the submission and take responsibility for the integrity of the research. Ghostwriting and honorary authorship are strictly prohibited.
Conflict of Interest: Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their work. This includes any potential conflicts of interest that may affect the interpretation of the research results. The journal requires a conflict of interest statement in every submission to ensure transparency.
Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere. The journal uses plagiarism detection tools to verify the originality of submissions. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is considered unethical and unacceptable.
Data Fabrication and Falsification: Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data is a severe violation of ethical standards. The journal requires that authors maintain accurate records of data and make them available for review if requested. Any manipulation of research data to produce misleading results will result in the rejection of the manuscript and notification to the author's institution.
Ethical Approval of Research: Research involving animals must comply with relevant ethical guidelines and obtain necessary approvals from institutional review boards or ethics committees. Authors must provide evidence of ethical approval upon submission and include a statement in the manuscript detailing the ethical considerations and approvals obtained.
Publication Misconduct: The journal has a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of publication misconduct, including duplicate publication, redundant publication, and citation manipulation. Editors will investigate any allegations of misconduct and take appropriate actions, including retraction of the article, notification of the author's institution, and banning the authors from future submissions.
Confidentiality and Anonymity: The peer review process is confidential, and the identities of reviewers are kept anonymous unless they choose to disclose their identity. Editors and reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and must not use the information contained within them for personal gain.
Corrections and Retractions: If errors or inaccuracies are discovered in a published article, the journal will issue corrections or retractions as necessary. Authors have the responsibility to notify the journal promptly if they identify significant errors in their work post-publication.
The Journal of Animal Environment is dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the academic record and fostering a culture of ethical research and publication practices. By adhering to these ethical guidelines, the journal ensures the credibility, reliability, and trustworthiness of the research it publishes
