Abstract

To determine levels of some hematological and biochemical factors in cultured bighead carp 80 specimens of 9, 12, 24 and 36 months old were collected from aquaculture center in Rasht, Giulan Province and hematological sampling were done from their caudal fin and then were analyzed. In this study, statistical analyzes showed that by increasing of age, the level of cholesterol and neutrophile were increased and in each age groups has significant difference (P<0.05). The amount of glucose, hemoglobin (Hb) and hematocrit (HCT) in 12-month group were increased and compared to other age groups has significant statistical difference (P<0.05). Average amounts of hemoglobin concentration of globules (MCHC) and the numbers of red globules (RBC) in 24-month age group were increased and have significant difference (P< 0.05). The amount of triglyceride, protein, calcium, average amount of the weight of globular hemoglobin (MCH) in 36-month age group compared to other age groups were increased and have significant differences (P<0.05). The level of non-organic phosphorus in 9-month age group with other age groups was increased which has significant difference (P<0.05). But in other parameters including: The number of phagocytes, the number of lymphocytes (Lym) and monocytes (Mon), it has not significant difference (P>0.05).
