Abstract
This study was conducted to identification of benthos from May 2009 till May 2010 in Mohammad-Abad River, Golestan Province. The researches were during May, 2009 to May, 2010. Three stations were selected randomly. The samples were caught randomly by surber sampler nets (50*50cm, 60µ net). The variation of temperature and discharge were recorded during experiments. The discharge was calculated by floater method and samples were identified until orders. Results showed, the most identified samples belong to Ephemeroptera, Tricoptera and Diptera order. From Diptera order; Tabanidae, Tipulidae, Chironomidae and Simulidae families were identified. The results indicated that in may, the most abundance belong to Plecoptera order. Based on results, Ephemeroptera order had the highest abundance Diptera and Plecoptera had the lowest abundance in whole orders in the river. Also, from Diptera order, Chironomidae had the most abundance and Tipulidae had the least abundance during the study period.
