Introducing 5 new species of Ants (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) for Iran

Abstract

 Order Hymenoptera, with more than 115,000 described species, Comprises 10% of Earth's species diversity. Ants are the most successful groups of insects that are found around the globe. The present research deal to faunistic investigation of Ants in western part of Zanjan Province. 780 samples were collected from 12 different ecological stations during 2012-2013.Species were identified using stereomicroscope and the available keys. The results pertain to 5 new species of genus 5 from Iran.
