Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the trend of catch changes, diversity indices (Margalef, Pilo, Shannon-Wiener) of pelagic and demersal fish in Bushehr province during the years 2004 to 2016. In this research, about 50 species including benthic, fine loss level and the level of large losses was collected from the docks of Bushehr city. The catching trend of these species in this ten-year period was analyzed using Pearson Test, time series and analysis of variance. The results of Pearson correlation test showed that there is no significant relationship between catch volume and reserves, but there is a significant relationship between time and catch. After confirming the Pearson test and confirming the negative relationship between time and catch, the results of analysis of variance showed that there is no linear relationship between time and catch and the chart is broken. The results showed that the catch of benthic and pelagic species increased in Bushehr province during the years 2004 to 2008 and since then this trend has been accompanied by decreasing fluctuations, which was mainly due to reduced fishing effort on the stocks of this species. The results also showed that the total catch of fish in Bushehr province has increased from 35,299 tons in 2004 with a growth of approximately 65% to 50,100 tons in 2016. The study of CPUA index showed a decrease in the abundance of species of great economic importance in recent years.
