Utilizing Natuzyme multi-enzyme in the diet and their effects on growth and some blood biochemical factors of common carp (Cyprinus carpio)

Abstract

Common carp (Cyprinus carpio) is an omnivorous fish and protease activities is less than amylase activities in the gut of this fish thus, it's appears enhancing enzymes in the diet can increas the protein intake in common carp and improve growth factors. The purpose of this study was to investigate the utilizing Natuzyme multi-enzyme in the diet and its effects on growth factors and some biochemical parameters in common carp. The experiment was conducted in completely randomized design with five treatments and three replications and multi-enzyme (Natuzyme®, Bioporoton, Australia) at 5 levels of 0, 250, 500, 750 and 1000 mg per kg of food, was added to the diet and given the experimental diets  to fishes for 8 weeks and growth factors; Weight gain (WG), specific growth rate (SGR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), Weight growth percent (WGP), Condition factor (CF) and Protein efficiency ratio (PER) were studied. Blood biochemical factors; albumin, calcium, glucose and total protein were measured and evaluated.In different treatments the (CF) were not significantly different from each other (P> 0.05). However, 250 and 500 (mg/kg) enzyme levels had the greatest influence on weight gain (WG), specific growth rate (SGR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), weight growth percent (WGP) and protein efficiency ratio (PER) (P <0.05). Differentenzyme levels had no significant effect on the blood biochemical parameters (albumin, calcium, glucose and total protein) (P> 0.05).
