Abstract
Species diversity of two heteropteran families, Pentatomidae and Scutelleridae was studied in wheat fields of Varamin (Tehran province) during 2013 and 2014. In total, nine species were collected: Eurygaster integriceps (Puton, 1881), Odontotarsus impictus Jakovlev, 1886, Ancyrosoma leucogrammes (Gmelin, 1789) (Scutelleridae), Graphosoma (Graphosoma) lineatum lineatum (Linnaeus, 1758), Aelia acuminata (Linnaeus, 1758),Aelia melanota Fieber, 1886, Eurydema (Eurydema) ornata (Linnaeus, 1758), Eurydema putoni (Jakovlev, 1877) and Dolycoris baccarum (Linnaeus, 1758) (Pentatomidae). Several samplings were done in order to determining of appearance date of sunn pest (E. integriceps) and population fluctuation of different life stages. All the samplings were done in five different areas of Varamin and vicinity including, Gharchak, Asgar-Abad, Dehmacin, Javad-Abad and Pishva. The results indicated that appearance date of sunn pest is middle of March and the peak of population density was obtained at the middle of April. Upon the results of this investigation, conservation of natural enemies, releasing of reared egg parasitoids in optimum date and application of different control methods as biological and chemical under IPM system can be established in the region.
