Abstract
Barbus grypus is an indigenous fish species of Khuzestan province which is important in Fishery manufacturing industry. There is no enough information about biochemical parameters and metabolism in this species. So at this study Lipid and Lipoprotein parameters of serum, liver and muscle has been studied. For this purpose, 72 pieces of adult fish (36 males and 36 female) were prepared from Azadegaan culturing and examined. Blood got by caudal vein puncture Then the fishes euthanized. Pieces of liver and muscle approximately 1 gram, removed lipid extraction was down by organic solvents and analyzed by spectrophotometric methods. Results showed that the means of total lipids, TG, TC, HDL-c, VLDL-c and LDL-c in serum are 488.174, 179.88, 252.958, 71.65, 36.343 and 128.041 respectively. In liver total lipids, TG, TC were 73.407, 43.109 and 1.053 respectively and in muscle total lipids, TG, TC 33.831, 19.417 and 0.703 respectively. In comparison between male and female, total lipids, TG, TC and VLDL-c in serum showed significant difference (P< 0.05). Also in muscle total lipids, TG, TC showed significant difference between two sexes (P> 0.05).
